An editable QR code encodes a QR Brand Kit short link instead. Scanning it performs a direct HTTP redirect to the destination you chose — no interstitial, no advertising page — and the redirect is recorded as a scan. When the destination changes, every printed copy of the code follows the update instantly.

What happens if I stop paying?
Your existing editable codes keep redirecting to their last saved destinations. Codes above the Free allowance become locked against destination changes until you delete unused codes or upgrade again.
Will people see an ad when they scan?
No. Active editable codes redirect directly to the destination you chose. QR Brand Kit does not show an advertising or interstitial page between the scan and your content.
Does an editable QR code work forever?
Editable codes depend on the QR Brand Kit redirect service, and no service can honestly promise permanent availability. QR Brand Kit publishes service status, keeps redirects working after downgrades, and does not claim a contractual uptime guarantee.
Can I edit the code after downloading it?
Yes — that is the point of an editable code. The printed pattern never changes; only its destination updates. Static codes, by contrast, cannot be changed after download.
What is the difference between editable and tracked?
Editable codes are tracked: every scan is counted and available as daily and lifetime activity. That data tells you which printed touchpoints are actually being scanned.
